Christy made his first visit to the show on April 24, 2003, where he played a round of blackjack to win a date with a porn star. From 2001 to 2003, Christy sent song parodies and bits about Armstrong and show co-host Robin Quivers including some like "It's K.C.'s Sausage Party" (a parody of " It's My Party") and "Gay Photograph" (a parody of the Def Leppard song "Photograph") that continue to be played on the show to this day. While working as an electrician in Florida and playing as a drummer in a number of heavy metal bands including Iced Earth and Death, Christy began calling into the show from October 1999, initially sending voice mails to the show's assistant producer K. When the Howard Stern Show moved to Sirius satellite radio in January 2006, Bronk continued in his role as an in-studio joke writer. Īfter Martling left the show in early 2001, Bronk continued as an in-studio joke writer with Norris. In 2000, Benjy was given an in-studio seat next to writers Jackie Martling and Fred Norris, writing on-the-spot jokes for Stern as the show transpired. Bronk eventually earned a paid position conducting pre-interviews of show guests and gathering articles for Robin Quivers' newscasts. Norris also provides impersonations of show regulars, celebrities and others. Norris' current role on the show is to provide sound effects, organize and direct commercials and live reads, and perform writing duties. Norris is married to Allison (née Furman) and they have one daughter, Tess. The "Earth Dog Fred" nickname originated in Washington, as Norris replaced an engineer nicknamed "Earth Dog Brent." Although Stern left shortly afterwards, Norris stayed at WCCC until joining Stern and Quivers at Washington, D.C.'s WWDC in 1981. Norris worked the overnight shift, after which Stern hosted the morning show. Bill's animated caricature has made several cameo appearances in other animated pranks.Of the show's staff, Stern met Norris first, in 1979, when the two worked as disc jockeys at WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut.Bill then angrily told Rakesh that he'd break his neck and asked if he wanted to go to the hospital with a broken neck. Rakesh ignored him and told him to come to Washington D.C. Bill was enraged and warned Rakesh not to call his number or he'd "blow his f*****g head off." Rakesh told Bill not to talk to him like that, further engraging Bill, and he threatened that if he had to come to where Rakesh was, he'd "knock the f*****g s*** out of him". Rakesh called Bill claiming to be Bernie Sanders and said that he won a free cruise trip and could go to Washington, D.C. In more callbacks a week later, Bill threatened to send Buk back to his "scummy foreign country", saying he is not an American, doesn't belong in the U.S, and demanded he "get out of my country" after realizing Ownage was using a caller ID spoof device. In callbacks, Bill threatened to shoot Buk if he saw him, accused him of working for ISIS, and claimed Donald Trump would send him back to Syria. When Buk avoided answering Bill's question of what his pickup ZIP code was, Bill got enraged. Buk then claimed he was using a calling card and asked him to ship his Honda Civic. Bill was also pranked by Rakesh pretending to be a scammer, which was released as an animation on August 23, 2020.īill was in a bathroom when Buk first called, and after Buk called again, Bill got suspicious because Buk's number was not in service. The animation of these calls was released in September 2016. Bill is a man residing in Orlando, Florida who provided car shipment services.
